Is it the misspellings and ungrammatical writing that causes me concern about the legitimacy of this offer? Perhaps it’s the repeated substitution of zeroes for the letter “O”? Whatever it is, it made me laugh. Thank you, Spammers.

Pop Culture: New Year Reflections and Resolutions

SNOW IS A GREAT BABYSITTER
“… it makes a great place to stick a kid…  They come back in pink cheeked, all their yayas worked out, in much better moods and they sleep well. Even better if you go out with them you can throw snowballs at them yourself and toss them into snowbanks all in the name of good clean fun and working out some of your own frustrations. RESOLUTIONS: Contribute to Environmental Advocacy groups, invest in snow making equipment and keep the kids outside as much as possible in all kinds of weather.”

New Pop Culture: And there were wolves…

My boys are outside animals

“Do you know how there are inside pets and outside pets? Some animals are content to spend their days snoozing on the carpet where others need acres of open space in which to run until their tongues hang out a foot or so. I can say that my boys are outside animals.”

New Pop Culture: Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag

Boys Are Always Hungry
I feel similarly to this keeper when holding a bag of food in front of my children – nervous.

“No one really expects you to hunt your own food anymore but the least you can do is make some PB&Js for the road without being asked.”

New Pop Culture Appearing in this month’s Village Living Magazine – Reinvented Dad

Christopher Sweeney Pop Culture Village Living
New Pop Culture article – Reinvented Dad – appears in this month’s Village Living Magazine

He loves them, feeds them (though through wild devices such as an elaborate bacon and egg machine) and provides them with a fantastic example of someone who follows his own path

Hypocritical Parents Take Comfort: New Pop Culture: Launch Pad

Space Shuttle Blasting Off
If you want your kids to fly, you have to show them how

Most parents are hypocrites – myself included. And I’m OK with that. In fact, I often argue that if I wasn’t an insufferable hypocrite what would force my children to quit my home in disgust when they reach their late teens or early twenties?
